In this video Jay Pastrana and Juan Battle discuss how they designed and conducted their research, from preliminary research summaries, to conducting the research, to discussing the value of the research with their 5000+ participants. 

Their three books, examinations of Black, Latinx, and Asian and Pacific Islander LGBT Populations across the United States, use personal narratives and survey data to explore the diversity of experiences across communities within the United States. Additionally, the authors document and celebrate many of the everyday strengths and strategies employed by these populations to navigate and negotiate their daily lives.
